しばらくすると、おばあちゃんがヨロヨロと右側に傾きかけたので、家族がつかんで起こし上げ、おばあちゃんの右側に枕を入れた。

それからまたしばらくすると、こんどは左側に傾きかけたので、家族はまた起こし上げ、左側に枕を入れた。

その後すぐに、こんどは前方に傾きかけたので、家族はまた彼女を起こし上げ、ちゃんと支えられるように腰の周りに枕を縛りつけた。

このとき、遅れて到着した甥がおばあちゃんに駆け寄ってきて、「やあ、おばあちゃん、元気そうだね!どんなお祝いをしてもらってる?」
